DubOffPrivacy Policy
The short version: DubOff has no accounts, your recordings stay on your phone, and the only thing we collect is anonymous usage analytics so we can see which parts of the app people use. The rest is below.
1. Who we are
DubOff is made by 100 Ideaz ("we", "us"). This policy covers the DubOff iOS app and the duboff.app website.
2. What stays on your phone
- Your voice. DubOff records your microphone only while you're recording a line. The recordings, the finished dubs and any videos you export are stored on your device. We never receive them.
- Scenes you download. Dub packs you add from GameBanana are downloaded by your phone directly from GameBanana's servers and converted on your device. They never pass through us. You can delete them at any time from Settings.
- Settings and history. Your preferences and your list of saved dubs live on your device.
3. What we collect
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used: which screens are opened, which scenes get dubbed, how long downloads take, and when things fail. This includes a random installation identifier, your device model and iOS version, your country, and the app version. It is not tied to your name, email, or any account, because DubOff doesn't have accounts. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell it.
Google processes this data on our behalf under Firebase's privacy terms.
4. Third parties you connect to
When you browse or download scenes, your phone talks directly to GameBanana. Their privacy policy applies to those requests. When you share a dub, the app or service you share to receives the video under its own terms.
The App Store handles downloads and any purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies to that.
5. Permissions
- Microphone. Required to record your dubs. Nothing is recorded outside of a take.
- Notifications. Optional. Used only to tell you when a scene has finished downloading. These are local notifications, sent by the app on your phone, not by a server.
- Camera. DubOff never uses the camera. iOS lists it because of a video library built into the app.
6. Retention and deletion
Everything on your phone is yours to delete: clear downloaded scenes and saved dubs from Settings, or delete the app. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months and then aggregated or deleted.
7. Children
DubOff is rated 17+ because the community-made scenes can contain mature content. It isn't intended for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the app's release notes.
